Lilia:
In August 2011 my 10 year old daughter and her friend Jonathan rode their bicycles from the shopping centre. We live on a slope. During the ride my daughter’s friend had to break very sharply. Lilia wasn’t able to stop in time, so she drove into his bike; both kids fell onto the street.
The NoName-helmet of Jonathan from a discounter broke, and the kid had a bad concussion. Also Lilia fell on her head but her Nutcase helmet withstand the impact, except from some scratches on arms and legs she had no heavy injuries. Thank you NUTCASE! Your helmets aren’t just super cool but very resistant.
The NUTCASE helmet was totally scratched, so we directly bought a new one. The X-Ray Brain Lilia desired for a long time.
Marcus:
Germany, Essen, June 2011
Last night I was riding my recently restored racing bike. It has been already dark; streets were wet, many traffic, bad asphalt and tram rails in the middle of the street.
Turning left it happened. The narrow tyres of my racing bike slid into the tram rails and I was thrown over the handlebars. Finally landing backwards on my shoulder, I hit the road with my head. Thankfully there were no cars at that moment and I was wearing my Nutcase Union Jack. And also my bike was intact.

Ticari:
I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to everyone there at Nutcase for making these helmets!
On August 6, 2010 my Nutcase helmet saved my life.
The last thing I remember from that ride is racing from work to pick up my car from the shop because my husband and I were leaving for a backpacking trip for our tenth wedding anniversary.
I woke in the ambulance on my way to the hospital and was told that I had been in an accident.
My tire had blown and somehow come off of my bike, how I do not know. According to the EMT report, witnesses who called in the accident stated I was travelling over 20 mph. I was thrown over the handlebars, landing on my head.
What the doctors told my husband in the ER, was, that the helmet saved me two-fold. The front of my head was protected from being smashed in from the initial impact. Second, because of the design, the back of the helmet most likely prevented my spinal cord from being severed due to the snapping back of my neck.
While I did knock out my four front teeth, broke my nose, jaw and had stitches all through my top and inside my bottom lips, what did not happen were any lasting BRAIN ISSUES! I was a little rattled for a few months, but that is all in the past now.
I was told later by my boss, that initially I had hopped on my bike, was gone for a minute but came back in saying ‘I can’t believe I just left without my helmet!’ I put on my helmet and rode off…
I really do hope that my new Nutcase still says ‘I LOVE MY BRAIN!’, because I do, as do my family and friends.
We are all true believers and wearers of the Nutcase!
I had the best caretakers in the world, but they only had someone to take care of, because I was still in tact!
So once again, ‘THANK YOU’ folks at NUTCASE HELMETS!
With much gratitude and love,
Ticari Morrison
Hali:
Hello!
This message is coming slightly overdue…However, it seems it was, unfortunately, for a reason.
Last May I was hit by a car while biking in downtown Vancouver. I was
heading straight down a road, the driver didn’t see me and turned left directly into me.
I went up on to the hood of the car, broke the windshield with my head (blacked out at some point) flew off the car, regained consciousness in the air, thought to myself “oh my God, I need to land on my feet” somehow managed to rotate myself in the air, landed FEET FIRST and fell on to the road.
That day as I got on to my bike, I put on my nutcase helmet on as usual, but this time, for some reason, gave it an extra little adjustment, just to make sure it was sitting nice and snug on my head.
Yesterday my brother, Adam, was riding his bike home from work in Calgary.
He was riding pretty fast down a hill…a van didn’t see him and pulled out into the intersection he was crossing. He doesn’t remember the accident, but what we do know is that he smashed through the passenger side window into the van then was propelled back out and on to the street.
The paramedic looked at Adam’s Nutcase helmet and was amazed…straight up telling him “yep, if you hadn’t been wearing this, you would be dead”.
Your helmets have saved both mine, and my brother’s lives.
To say we are grateful for the quality of your products is the understatement of the century. Unfortunately, however, I have no other way of putting it…
So thank you…THANK YOU!!!! A million thank you’s! (And I believe it is safe to say, the same gratitude is being extended from our parents).
Keep doing what you do.
Thank you,
Hali Wong
Kasey:
Hi!
In August of 2009, on the 3rd day of Elementary School, my 6yr old son, Kasey, had a bike accident and ended up cracking his kidney and spent 4 months in recovery.
While he was wearing a well-fitted helmet on the day of the accident, I am saddened that so many kids who attend our school don’t wear a helmet. While my son was in the Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin, TX, the trauma team was so proud of him for wearing a helmet that they gave him a brand new helmet and had him retire his previous one.
I was wondering, if you might have anyone that would speak on bicycle helmet safety &/or donate a helmet to a child at our school? We have about 35 children who ride bikes to school on a good weather day and I’d say maybe 40-50% are wearing helmets. Even if all you can offer is some brochure information, I would be so appreciative. I wish that Texas had a bike helmet law and maybe someday I can be proud to know that I helped to accomplish that goal. For now, I just feel saddened for the kids without helmets on. I have to say that while my husband and I were always insistent on wearing a helmet, we definitely thought that something like this accident couldn’t happen to us.
Thank you so much for your help.

Leah:
...but seriously. One of my good friends got in a bike accident yesterday.
And if you should know anything about Jenna, it should be that she is the sweetest, most generous person you’d ever meet as well as the most cautious biker EVER. (Her nickname is grandma around here, known for baking cookies and her infamous cute, vintage [but nevertheless grandma-ish] dresses)
The reason I’m sending you (whoever you may be! ;D ) this sob story is that it doesn’t appear that you have any stores in the US. My friends and I are trying to put together a gift basket/helmet for when she gets out of the hospital.
I would greatly appreciate if there were any advice or aid that you could give to me. I may even buy a helmet myself, after-all, my brain needs protecting too!
Thanks and have a great day!
