Blokart Club Austria
In autumn 2008, the first Blokart Club in Austria was founded. The founding members Tina Nicolussi (BC-Shop), Hamish (Heimi) McGregor and Andreas Burghardt (publisher of kiteunit.com magazine) want to achieve promotion and acceptance for this new sports.
The Blokart Club Austria aims to popularize sail-kart sports in Austria and to build up an active community. Friends of wind and wind sports can exchange minds in a casual atmosphere. Sportsmen of all kind of (wind) sports are welcome but also families and handicapped persons.
Additionally the club offers the opportunity for all interested persons to have access and learn more about Blokart.
By attractive sporting events, like the Blokart Club Austria Action-Day or the “AUSTRIAN-Blokart-MASTER”, the Blokart Club Austria and its members stimulate tourism and economy.
The members:
Andreas Burghardt, nickname Skoop, graphic designer from Vienna. Blokart for him means: safe, fun, fast, that’s it.
Hamish McGregor (Heimi) from New Zealand, mechanics and distributor for Blokarts. His dream vacation is one week blokarting in Papamoa/New Zealand, the heaven of Blokart.
Tina Nicolussi from Vienna is independent and dreams of blokarting across the frozen Neusiedlersee. For her Blokart is exciting but at the same time relaxing and delights young and old.
Christian Drechsler (Chris), Entrepreneur from Schwechat, loves Blokart, because its fun, other sports he exercises are Sailing and Skiing.
Krzystof Frydrych (Krzys) from Lodz in Poland likes Blokart, because it uses the powers of nature.
Michael Vanhoegaerden (Hoegy) from Kinshasa, lives in Vienna. Besides Blokart he likes Paragliding and Skiing.
Gerhard Jirschim, nickname Gerry Hard, is network and system administrator from Vienna and enjoys Blokart as much as Kiting and SimRacing.
